DeMille poker gambling romantic cowboy western epic ("The raging story of the Frontier... and the daring men and women who smashed it down! Romance! Spectacle!! Drama!!!"; "The valiant story of a nation's heroes... Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Buffalo Bill Cody, General Custer who lived recklessly... dangerously... to mold an empire out of prairies... to build cities on a range!"; a combination of all the legends about Buffalo Bill Cody, Calamity Jane, and Wild Bill Hickok, including Hickok's death while gambling at poker and holding the "dead man's hand", aces and eights) starring Gary Cooper (as "Wild Bill Hickok"), Jean Arthur (as "Calamity Jane"), James Ellison (as "Buffalo Bill Cody"), Charles Bickford, Helen Burgess, and Porter Hall (as Jack McCall, the man who shot Hickok in the back). Note that Native American Indian Chief Thunder Bird was hired by Cecil B. DeMille to be the technical advisor on the movie so that the Native Americans would be authentic! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: fair. Some have been trimmed along parts of the edges (see our range measurement and images). Each has varying degrees of creases, smudges, and scuffs scattered throughout and most have tape, tape stains and/or areas of paper along parts of the edges. Card #8 and card #7 had had the inset image trimmed off the card at one time, and then reattached with tape from the back. Card #5 has a large tear at left that has been repaired with tape from the back. Card #3 has a smaller tear at left that has been repaired with tape from the back as well.
