Avildsen (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Philadelphia Pennsylvania boxing sports action romantic melodrama ("His whole life was a million-to-one shot."; "Written by Sylvester Stallone"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; produced by Irwin Winkler) starring Sylvester Stallone (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Rocky Balboa), Talia Shire (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Adrian), Burt Young (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Carl Weathers (as Apollo Creed), Burgess Meredith (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Mickey"), and Butkus Stallone (as Butkus the dog!). Important Added Info: Note that one-sheets from this classic movie are pretty easy to obtain (both the pre-Awards and post-Awards styles), but this insert is far more rare than the one-sheet (we have only auctioned three of them in all our years of auctioning!). Also note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 insert posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 insert posters (note that most post-1970 inserts were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those inserts). Condition: very good. The poster was never machine folded. Someone lightly partially hand-folded it along the background below the title and across the bottom of the stars' legs. The partial fold at top is almost invisible and the partial fold at the bottom is visible in the stars' images. Overall, the poster is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
