Date Sold 12/16/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Unfolded French Special Poster (measures 9 1/4" x 12 3/4" [23 x 32 cm]) in a mat that measures 15 3/4" x 19 3/4". (Learn More) Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a French painter and illustrator known for elegant and provocative images of Paris. He was considered one of the greatest painters of the Post-Impressionist period. Some of his works include: The Marble Polisher, At the Moulin Rouge, Portrait of Gabrielle, and Le Coucher. Note that Toulouse-Lautrec suffered from congenital defects (possibly caused by inbreeding), and after childhood injuries, his legs stopped growing. He was only 4'8" tall as an adult. Toulouse-Lautrec passed away in 1901 at the age of 36 from a combination of alcoholism and syphilis. Artist: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec Important Added Info: This was consigned to us with a mat. We removed it from the mat to take an image of it. We can send the mat together with the print, but of course, it will be a much larger package, so the new owner may not want the mat (we leave it to the high bidder to decide). Condition: good to very good. The poster was in a mat, and it has slightly darkened, except in the small parts of the border covered by the mat. It has tiny pinholes in the corners and some faint smudges around the edges and in the white background area. Learn More about condition grades
