An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Bad Man, the 1923 Edwin Carewe silent Mexico cowboy western romantic love triangle melodrama ("The Robin Hood of the Desert"; "'You luv her an' I luv her. What is ze' answer? Ah, take her my fren' and be 'happy. Sapristi! What a woman among frens.'"; "What a bad man - a friend of all true lovers, but a hater of shams --- who loves his friends with right good will, but those he hates he loves to kill. A character unique, a picture unusual --- filled with thrills and laughs - the melodrama-comedy hit of the year --- a triumph on the stage, a greater triumph on the screen."; based on the play by Porter Emerson Browne; about a notorious Mexican bandit whose life is saved by an American, and when that man's ranch is in danger of being foreclosed, the bandit not only robs a bank to get the money to bail him out, but he also shoots the man who is married to the woman the American loves, so that he will be free to marry her!) starring Holbrook Blinn ("and an all star cast"), Jack Mulhall, Walter McGrail, Enid Bennett, Harry Myers, and Charles Sellon

Important Added Info: Note that this is a hand-colored lobby card. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have stills printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the lobby cards one at a time (labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match, and since it is water color paint, it sometimes "runs", because simple contact with water will remove the paint. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. The card was hand-colored (see above). There are some smudges around the edges. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
