An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Gun Lords of Stirrup Basin, the 1937 Sam Newfield romantic homesteaders-vs-ranchers cowboy western ("Original Story by Harry F. Olmstead") starring Bob Steele, Louise Stanley, Karl Hackett, Ernie Adams, and Frank LaRue. Note that there is an oddity about this movie. It was released by Republic Pictures, but the movie paper on it is incredibly rare, and the one-sheets we have seen have "A Republic Release" on it with no Republic Pictures emblem, which is very odd for this time! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1937 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie poster or lobby card from this movie (only a few stills) until we received this one-sheet!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny paper loss scattered in parts of the folds. It had tack holes, tears, and smudges around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above.
