UPDATED 12/19/2023: Note that we have updated the Condition information. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had many creases, tears, and some tiny paper loss along the top fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds, and there were some additional horizontal folds. The poster also had the borders trimmed off. There were some stains in the top blank area and in the upper right background area. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and all of the borders were replaced (the bottom border replacement came from a more modern poster and features a printer from the 1960s/1970s). You can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
