Date Sold 6/11/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Mountain Justice, the 1937 Michael Curtiz hillbilly medical doctor romantic melodrama ("Drama thunders from the mountain-tops as love flings all caution to the winds!"; a wacky story of a woman who grows up among hillbillies, and she leaves her family and becomes a nurse, and returns with a kindly doctor to try to help those she grew up with, but her abusive father, who believes in whipping those he doesn't agree with, works to stop them) starring Josephine Hutchinson, Guy Kibbee, Margaret Hamilton, Mona Barrie, and Robert Barrat. Note that movie was apparently written by "big city" people who filled the script with every hillbilly cliche in the book, and it bears little resemblance to any real portrayal of small town life (in the Ozarks or anywhere!). Important Added Info: Note that this a very rare complete set of lobby cards for this movie (we have only auctioned a complete set of cards for this title once before and that was in 2016, and that very same set has been reconsigned to us for this auction!) Condition: good to very good. Five of the cards have varying degrees of paper loss in one or more corners (see our image) with the most corner and edge loss in the card with Brent holding the girls left hand. The cards with Brent holding the knife and with Hamilton pulling the man's sweater have a fragile crease at lower left that has been repaired with tape from the back. The title card has much paper loss in the right edge. The cards have darkened somewhat (typical of Warner Bros. cards of this time period.) They are otherwise in generally nice condition.
