Note that this was technically Clara Bow's 2nd film, because she was cast in a role in the early 1922 film "Beyond the Rainbow". However, many sources indicate that her scenes were cut from that film (and only added back for a later re-release), which would make "Down to the Sea in Ships" the first time she appeared on screen.
