Edward Sutherland all-star screwball television comedy ("A mad revelry of mirth!"; about a Chinese inventor who has made a new device which is called a radio-scope, but is clearly a television, and it doesn't need to be broadcasted, and he invites representatives of major U.S. companies to visit him in China, and he will pick the one he likes the best to have the exclusive rights to his invention, and the whole framing story is just an excuse to bring a group of legendary comedians into a single movie) starring Peggy Hopkins Joyce, W.C. Fields, Rudy Vallee, Stuart Erwin, George Burns, Gracie Allen (Burns & Allen; in their second movie role!), Col. Stoopnagle & Budd, Cab Calloway and His Orchestra, and Lona Andre NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a few lobby cards and stills from this movie until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss scattered in the left two-thirds of the title, affecting some of the letters and not others, and also parts of the background around the title. There was paper loss the foreheads of Joyce and Erwin, and also paper loss in the forehead and hair of the man with the mustache, with small paper loss in the right of his mustache. There was small paper loss in the edge of Rudy Vallee's nose. There were some pinholes and stains scattered in the lower half of the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Given its many defects, a restorer did a pretty nice job making it presentable, and it will display pretty well on the new owner's wall, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
