Hex appeal!"; a complicated but enjoyable tale of a 17th century witch who was burned at the stake with her father, and she returns to the 20th century with her father to get revenge on the descendant of the man who burned them, but, through a very complicated process, she ends up falling in love with him instead!) starring Fredric March, Veronica Lake, Robert Benchley, Susan Hayward, Cecil Kellaway, and Ann Carter NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this scene card has a wonderful image of March holding Lake with a witch shadow in the background! That makes it extremely desirable to collectors, but it has also made it extremely rare. We have not auctioned this card for 16 years! Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card was "starch backed", which means that it was moistened with a special starch solution, attached to a backing, allowed to dry, and then the card had touch up while it was backed, and afterward, the backing was removed. This particular card had a thin strip of paper loss in the bottom border, starting in the middle of the bottom border and running 6" to the right of that, but only blank white paper is affected. It had some faint stains scattered in the card. The card was starch backed by a talented professional and expert restoration was performed to the above defects (and the stains were surely removed through chemical means).
