Straight is the Way, the 1934 Paul Sloane New York City crime romantic love triangle ex-convict rehabilitation melodrama ("A girl's love can make or break you!"; about a young Jewish man who is released from prison after five years, and he discovers that his ex-partner now runs a protection racket and has also taken up with the young man's girlfriend, and the partner offers to cut him in on his racket, but the young man wants to go straight, and he takes a job in a garage, but the garage is going broke from paying protection money and he steps in to try to help!) starring Franchot Tone, May Robson, Karen Morley, Gladys George, Nat Pendleton, and Jack LaRue
