An Original Vintage Theatrical 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm] English Movie Still (Learn More) Melva Cornell (sometimes known as Melba Cornell) was a stage and screen actress from the late 1920s. She appeared in Fox Movietone Follies of 1929, and was supposed to appear in South Sea Nymph but that movie apparently never finished production. She later worked for the publicity department at 20th Century Fox. She passed away in 1960 at the age of 55. Important Added Info: Note that this English news photo, which measures 5" x 7" [13 x 18 cm], shows Melva Cornell playing a South Sea Nymph in a movie of that name. The costume designer for the movie was assigned to give her a costume with as little clothing "as morality allowed"! The snipe on the back (in French) says that her completely naked body has been decorated with paint similar to that which young engaged South Sea women wore on their wedding day! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
