Terror seizes city!"; "All New Thrills! Shock! Suspense!"; "Monster Escapes!"; "City flees in Terror!"; "Here at last! New thrill wonder 3-D Horrorscope!") starring John Agar, Lori Nelson, John Bromfield, Nester Paiva, Ricou Browning (who played the Gill Man underwater), Tom Hennesy (who played the Gill Man on land), Clint Eastwood (in his big screen [speaking] debut in a bit part as a lab assistant), Brett Halsey, and Flippy the Porpoise. Note that this movie was released in 3-D, but most first release U.S. posters don't bother to mention that (perhaps because the 3-D craze was dying down). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Reynold Brown Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The reds in the poster have slightly faded. There was tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss scattered in the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. There were a few areas of separation on the foldlines and someone put some tape on the back of each crossfold and in a few other places on the foldlines or borders. There were some pinholes and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed with no excess linen, but at some point it was displayed, which caused the fading in the reds of the poster. It still displays pretty well just as it is (many people might not realize that there was fading without comparing the poster to another unfaded example), but please bear this fading in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
