An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) State Secret (released in the U.S. as "The Great Man-Hunt" and also under its original title), the 1950 Sidney Gilliat English crime suspense thriller ("Adventure sweeping across a continent!"; "Suddenly - they closed in and the chase was on..."; "He knew too much to live!") starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Glynis Johns, Jack Hawkins, Herbert Lom, and Walter Rilla. Note that this movie was released in the U.S. in 1950 under its original title of "State Secret". Apparently, someone at Columbia Pictures decided the movie needed a more descriptive (or more exciting) title, and so new posters were printed in 1950 which give it the new title of "The Great Man-Hunt", and they add "Formerly Titled State Secret", probably so that fans of the original title would not be confused. Since both posters have the same 1950 NSS number, we consider them both to be first release, even though the one poster precedes the other by a short amount of time. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
