UPDATED 04/22/2018: Note that the poster we are offering has the credits in a white bar across the bottom, while all past versions (and examples that we can find online) have the credits in a black bar at the bottom. Poster artist Graham Humphreys was kind enough to respond to our query with the following information. "I've seen some before. Normally it would be black, but I imagine a run was made without the extra inking so that venue strips could be pasted more easily on the raw paper. At that time, venue strips were quite common. The only reason the orange credit block remains is simply because it wasn't part of the 4 colour process. The orange was a double hit 5th colour, and presumably it was just more efficient to leave the printing plate as it was. This is what I assume anyway. There is no reason for any dodgy reproduction to have a white strip. Quad posters were designed in the knowledge that the bottom 3 inches would often be covered with a venue strip, pasted with individual cinema details and dates." Condition: good. There are several creases scattered throughout the poster and there is some slight discoloration along portions of the center vertical foldline (although it is not very noticeable or distracting from the front.) There are a few scuff marks and there is moderate fold and border wear. Certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
