Green England biographical political melodrama ("Based on the play by Louis N. Parker"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; a re-make of George Arliss' silent movie of the same name from 1921; this was a biography of the famous English Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, who was the only English Prime Minister of Jewish birth, although he converted at age 12, and the movie revolves around his efforts to make sure England owned the Suez Canal) starring George Arliss (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; reprising the same title role of Benjamin Disraeli that he played in the 1921 silent version of this movie), Joan Bennett, Florence Arliss, Anthony Bushell, David Torrence, and Doris Lloyd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned seven lobby cards from this movie, but we have never auctioned THIS card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good.
