An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/4" x 30" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the 1939 Richard Thorpe southern adventure melodrama ("Mickey's greatest hit!"; "This boy has captured the heart of America!"; from the famous novel by Mark Twain) starring Mickey Rooney (in the title role as Huckleberry Finn), Walter Connolly, William Frawley, Rex Ingram (as Jim), Lynne Carver, Jo Ann Sayers, and Minor Watson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by MGM for use by theaters showing their movies. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area at lower center. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie and sometimes the theaters were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of movies, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area (this poster was overprinted with the title "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"). Condition: good to very good. There is tattering along the foldlines and around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
