He was the original "Latin Lover". Some of his movies include: The Sheik, The Son of the Sheik, and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Sadly, Valentino passed away from peritonitis on August 23, 1926 at the age of 31, and at the height of his fame. Important Added Info: Note that one of these two photos is a news photo with a snipe paper clipped to it that shows his horse standing next to the beautiful memorial erected after Valentino's untimely passing. The snipe on that photo is dated 1934. The other photo is a trimmed 8x10 that shows six female admirers standing on the memorial with a heart-shaped wreath and that photo has a newspaper stamp on the back from 1946 (but of course it could date from earlier).
