eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 4y0618 SUDDEN BILL DORN 8 LCs 1937 great images of western cowboy Buck Jones, w/cool title card art! Date Sold 8/29/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Sudden Bill Dorn, the 1937 Ray Taylor cowboy western starring Buck Jones (in the title role as Bill Dorn), Silver, Noel Francis, Evelyn Brent, Frank McGlynn Sr., and Lee Phelps. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The title card is missing its right blank border and there is paper loss in the blank borders at upper and lower left, and someone performed amateur restoration to those areas and some pinholes and scuffs in the image. The card below the title card has pinholes around the edges and the card with the men on the wagon has some paper loss in the blank corners and someone performed amateur restoration to three of them. The remaining scene cards are in pretty nice condition. Please see our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of these cards prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
