A 1944 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the NSS number on the lobby cards and one-sheet for this re-release are from 1943, and since that is all we had ever seen from this re-release, we assumed that this was the year the re-release occurred. But apparently, those were printed at the end of 1943, and the re-release did not occur until 1944, because this pressbook, which has a 1944 copyright on the back cover, says on the cover "Millions will see it for the first time in 1944!", so technically, this is a 1944 re-release, even though the NSS numbers on the posters and lobby cards are from 1943 (this actually happened quite a bit over the years). Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases, tiny tears, and tiny areas of paper loss in the vertical foldline between the bottom of the "D" of "DISNEY" and the bottom of the "i" of "White". There were tiny areas of paper loss and tears in the center of the bottom of the vertical foldline. There was a small circular area of paper loss in the bottom of Snow White's shirt at bottom center. There were some tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the middle foldline, and some pinholes, creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see slight signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
