In Cast!"; "Written by Charles Brackett, Walter Reisch, and Richard Breen"; based on the classic true story) starring Clifton Webb, Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Wagner, Audrey Dalton, Thelma Ritter, Brian Aherne, Richard Basehart, Allyn Joslyn, James Todd, Frances Bergen, and William Johnstone. Note that the recent discovery that the Titanic broke into three pieces and not two casts severe doubt on the sequence of events of the sinking as portrayed in this movie and several others. It now seems far more likely that the ship sank in a very short period of time, and that the passengers had little chance to perform any of the things they are shown doing in the various movie adaptations of this tragic event! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a 6" tear near the middle of the right border, going through the credits. It had some smudges, tears, and stains around the edges, with some scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
