An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

In Name Only, the 1939 John Cromwell romantic love triangle melodrama (based on the novel by Bessie Breuer; about a man trapped in a loveless marriage who meets a woman he falls madly in love with, but his wife refuses do divorce him) starring Carole Lombard, Cary Grant, Kay Francis, Charles Coburn, Helen Vinson, Katharine Alexander, Jonathan Hale, and Maurice Moscovich

Important Added Info: Note that while this is a regular publicity still (with a great posed portrait of the three stars), there is an interesting curiosity about it, because of the snipe on the back. The movie was released in August of 1939, but on December 11 of 1939, the stars reprised their roles in a CBS Radio broadcast. Obviously, a wire service took this original photo and sent it out on December 10 with this snipe on the back, explaining about the radio broadcast (it is also date stamped "DEC 10 1939"). Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm].

Condition: very good. The still is lightly rippled at top center, caused by the snipe glued to the back. It has slightly changed to a sepia color but is otherwise in pretty good condition.
