An Original Vintage Paperbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh) (Learn More) The Shooting of Dan McGrew, the 1924 Clarence G. Badger New York City/Alaska/South America silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("From 'The Spell of the Yukon' by Robert W. Service"; about a couple with a 2 year old son in South America, where the wife runs a dance troupe, but the husband is unhappy and he convinces his wife to move to New York City; once there, a man named Dangerous Dan McGrew convinces the wife, who is only known as "Lou", to leave her husband because Dan will get her the lead in a New York stage show; when the husband finds out, he is beaten by Dan, and Dan and the wife run away to Alaska, where she works as a decoy in the Malamute saloon, and her husband follows them to Alaska and kills Dan McGrew!) starring "a splendid cast including" Barbara La Marr (as "the lady known as Lou"), Lew Cody (in the title role as "Dangerous Dan" McGrew), Mae Busch, Percy Marmont, and Max Asher. Note that this was the second film version of this classic poem, which was later re-made, including the classic Tex Avery cartoon version of "The Shooting of Dan Mcgoo" starring Droopy, and it certainly was also the inspiration for the Beatles song, "Rocky Raccoon"!
