Guarded by witches. Discovered by a boy. Stolen by a King. Whoever owns it will rule the world. Or destroy it."; "Seven years in the making - In the celebrated Disney tradition comes our 25th animated motion picture."; "Based on 'The Chronicles of Prydain Series' by Lloyd Alexander") featuring the voices of Grant Bardsley, Susan Sheridan, Freddie Jones, Nigel Hawthorne, and Arthur Malet. Note that this was the first Disney cartoon with a 'PG' rating and was the first Disney cartoon to have computer animated sequences. The movie was considered by many to be too frightening and upsetting to children, even after undead and violent scenes were removed after kids cried during a pre-screening.
