An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Time to Love, the 1927 Frank Tuttle silent France romantic love triangle comedy melodrama (from the story by Alfred Savoir; a wild story of a Frenchman who falls in love with a countess, but her father wants her to marry a prince, and there are all kinds of wild complications) starring Raymond Griffith, William Powell, Vera Veronina, Josef Swickard, Mario Carillo, and Pierre de Ramey. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, mounted to a linen backing. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the top of the still. Condition: good. The top 1" was neatly trimmed off (see above). There are large areas of unevenness to the emulsion, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light (although you can slightly see some of the areas in our super-sized image).
