An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Humoresque, the 1920 Frank Borzage silent romantic World War I (WWI) musical prodigy melodrama (based on the novel by Fannie Hurst; about a Jewish woman in New York City who prays that her son will become a musical prodigy, and he does, but he gets mixed up with a woman, and enlists in World War I, and his arm is injured, and he can't play the violin anymore, but when he tells his girlfriend they can't marry, she faints and he catches her, which restores the use of his arm!) starring Alma Rubens, Vera Gordon, Gaston Glass, Dore Davidson, and Bobby Connelly. Note that this movie was remade in 1946, with Joan Crawford and John Garfield in the lead roles, but much of the hokey elements of the original story were thrown out! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
