Date Sold 9/10/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A Matted REPRODUCTION Animation Cel (measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bugs Bunny is an animated animation cartoon rabbit created in 1938 at Leon Schlesinger Productions (later Warner Bros. Cartoons) by Tex Avery and Robert McKimson. He was voiced by Mel Blanc from 1938 to 1989. His popularity led to his becoming a corporate mascot of the Warner Bros. company. Bugs has appeared in more films than any other cartoon character and is the ninth most portrayed film personality in the world. Important Added Info: Note that in 1990, a special Bugs Bunny magazine was published. Contained within the magazine was a plastic cel with Bugs eating popcorn and it was laid over a background of other people at the movie theater. Someone removed that cel and the page from the magazine and had it matted! It makes for a great display, but since the entire magazine can be purchased for not very much money, it likely has little collectible value, and it is a REPRODUCTION cel, and NOT AN ORIGINAL, so bear this in mind before bidding on it. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
