A Vintage Hardcover Book (measures 11" x 13 1/4" [28 x 34 cm]; 342 pages) (Learn More) Reel Art: Great Posters from the Golden Age of the Silver Screen, the 1988 Stephen Rebello & Richard Allen illustrated book featuring 300 mostly full-color reproductions (many full pages) of classic movie posters from 1910 to 1950 with informative captions including the history of the films, as well as, biographies of the artists who created these masterpieces! Note that the posters came from the legendary collection of the late Richard Allen, the foremost movie paper collector who ever lived! This wonderful book surely did more for the hobby (and created more poster collectors!) than any other publication ever. Note that the first printing of this book was an oversized coffee table hardcover book. That book was reprinted twice, exactly the same, except for a notation about the later printings on the title page. Abbeville Press also published a "Tiny Folios" version, which measured 4" x 4 1/2" and was paperback, and it reproduced all of the poster images from the coffee table edition, although in a much tinier size. Important Added Info: Note that this book is the third printing of the first edition. Note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Condition: very good.
