A Close Call for Boston Blackie, the 1946 Lew Landers Massachusetts criminal-turned-detective mystery crime thriller ("Blackie answers the call to arms... and lands in the arms of the Law!"; "Blackie's up to his neckin' trouble again!"; "Blackie trips a blonde... To trap a killer!"; as usual, Blackie is falsely accused of murder, and he must find the real murderer to clear himself) starring Chester Morris (in the title role as Boston Blackie), Lynn Merrick, Richard Lane, Frank Sully, and George E. Stone. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle.

Condition: very good. There are a few small tears around the edges of the cards with some repaired with clear tape from the back. There is much writing on the back of the card pictured at top but it does not appear to have any effect on the front.
