Wellman World War II (WWII) military airplane aviation fighter pilot romantic love triangle melodrama (about an ace pilot who trains young men become pilots in World War II; one of his trainees is the son of his best buddy who was killed in the war, and the young man has a fear of heights, which, naturally, is a big problem, but his mentor tries to help him over it, but then the young man falls for the older man's girl!) starring Gene Tierney, Preston Foster, John Sutton, Jack Holt, Dame May Whitty, George Barbier, Richard Haydn, and Reginald Denny
