An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Return of Mandy's Husband, the 1948 Toddy Pictures black African American romantic musical slapstick crime seance clairvoyant comedy ("Mandy's husband returns and brings plenty of jive, jazz and hot stuff in the riot comedy of the year!"; "All Star Colored Cast"; about a pair of black con men who plan on tricking people with fake seances where they talk to dead people, and meanwhile a man who ran out on his wife has been kidnapped, and he is in the attic above where the seances are held, and when his wife asks the con men to talk to him, they are able to do so!) starring Mantan Moreland, F.E. Miller (billed as "Flourney E. Miller"), John D. Lee Jr., Estelle Hemsley (billed as "E. Hensley"), McKinley Reeves, and Terry Knight. Note that Flourney Miller was a major figure in black Broadway musical history, performing and writing with his partner Aubrey Lyles. After Lyles passed away in 1933, Miller appeared in a number of all-black movies in the 1930s and 1940s. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. There are several defects scattered along the edges and foldlines/crossfolds and there are MANY SIGNIFICANT areas of foldline and crossfold separation (the poster is VERY fragile).
