Mankiewicz"; "Titles by Joe Farnham"; about a former sea captain whose wife died during childbirth; he gave the child to his brother, a priest, to raise her, and he is now a brothel owner and a crook, and his daughter does not know that; he has a partner who is much more respectable, and the daughter falls in love with the partner, and that causes a falling out between the two men!) starring Lon Chaney Sr. (as Singapore Joe, the disfigured leader of the gang), Lois Moran, Owen Moore, Henry B. Walthall, Sojin, Rose Langdon, John George, Willie Fung, and Eddie Sturgis. Note that this is a partially "lost" film which means that no surviving complete copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1926 U.S. posters and lobby cards from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a different scene card and a few stills from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There is water staining in the right border that extends into the small image of Chaney. There is darkening and tiny brown dot stains down the left and right of the card, and there is paper loss in the right blank corners. There is a piece of clear tape on the back of a few very tiny tears in the left of the top blank border. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card. This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration.
