Note that this was a remake of a 1923 silent movie, and it is entertaining, but the most enjoyable aspect is Margaret O'Brien's performance. She plays a 7 year old, but she was 9 in real life, and she has to play the entire role with a very thick Irish accent, which she does very convincingly! In addition, the producers rounded up a lot of "little people" to play many of the leprechauns, and those fantasy sequences which frame the movie are very interesting.
