An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Thirty by Forty Movie Poster (measures 30" x 40") (Learn More) Blood of the Vampire, the 1958 Henry Cass English Universal monster horror thriller ("He begins where Dracula left off!"; "No woman alive is safe from the most frightening fiend in the history of horror!"; "The fiend who feasted on the life-blood of his helpless victims"; "Story and Screenplay by Jimmy ['Frankenstein'] Sangster") starring Donald Wolfit, Barbara Shelley, Vincent Ball, Victor Maddern (as the crippled assistant Carl), and Bernard Bresslaw NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: good to very good. The poster had many creases, tears, and smudges around the edges of the poster, and pinholes in the corners. There were some horizontal creases in the image, with one most noticeable one across the bottom of the girl's body. There were some creases and tears in the black area at top right and a partial vertical crease down the left middle of the image, going down through the right side of the vampire's face. The poster was professionally paperbacked, and the paperbacking and touch up of the above defects has greatly minimized how noticeable they are. You can still see some slight signs of them from a distance, but they are not very distracting at all. From inches away, you can see the restoration, but from a normal viewing distance, the poster displays pretty well. This poster was never folded (it was sent rolled in a tube to the poster exchange, and then to the theater, if it was used in a theater). The poster has some clear imperfections. We likely have written a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they likely can be seen by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster. Note that, if the poster has "crinkle marks" which are difficult to see in our image, we ALWAYS mention that in words! Learn More about condition grades
