Date Sold 7/7/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Governor's Lady, the 1923 Harry F. Millarde silent romantic political melodrama (written by Anthony Paul Kelly) starring Robert T. Haines, Jane Grey, Anna Luther, Frazer Coulter, and Leslie Austin NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these are hand-colored lobby cards. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color them one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Condition: very good. There is some tattering and paper loss along the right edge of the top card pictured (mostly in the blank border). The cards are otherwise in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
