An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) After the Thin Man (released in other English-speaking countries as "Nick, Gentleman Detective"), the 1936 W.S. Van Dyke romantic detective mystery crime comedy sequel ("Continuing the fun in their sequel"; "Continuing the fun in their new hit!"; "Their New joyous hit!"; "Mr. & Mrs. Thin Man are back in their joyous new hit!"; "'Me too' says Astra, the Dog"; "From the story by Dashiell Hammett"; one of the very popular "Thin Man" movies; the very first sequel to the super popular 1934 movie "The Thin Man") starring William Powell (as Nick Charles), Myrna Loy (as Nora Charles), James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; in his ninth movie role), Elissa Landi, Joseph Calleia, Jessie Ralph, Alan Marshall, Teddy Hart, Sam Levene, Dorothy McNulty, Penny Singleton, and Asta (the dog). Note that original 1936 material from this very first sequel to the 1934 movie "The Thin Man" is almost as rare as that from the first movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1936 movie posters from this very first sequel to the first Thin Man movie are incredibly rare. We have never sold even a single first release poster from this movie until we received this half-sheet! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster was folded once in each direction and had the tiniest of paper loss at the crossfold and some tiny bits of surface paper loss on small parts of the folds. It has 2" of separation at the right end of the horizontal fold and 1" at the left end of the horizontal fold. It has some pinholes around the edges, with faint stains in the left blank corners. The poster was stored rolled for a long time and it is "curling", but it would flatten out if stored under weight, and of course, if one chose to restore it, it will not be an issue. But either left exactly as it is, or with restoration to the above minor defects, I am very envious of the new owner of this great and incredibly rare poster! Learn More about condition grades
