eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result n008 1960s AMUSEMENT PARK billboard poster F. Freeland artwork! Date Sold 5/1/2007Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Folded Billboard Amusement Park Advertising Poster (measures approximately 15' x 20') (Learn More) a very large poster advertising a 1960s amusement park, and featuring great artwork by F. Freeland, showing a frightened girl on a ferris wheel in the foreground, with lots of amusement rides in the background, including bumper cars, merry-go-rounds, mini car track, etc.. Note that we do not know what amusement park this was advertising, or when the poster was created (we imagine someone viewing this auction should recognize the park, and hopefully they will be kind enough to e-mail us the information, so we can add it to this auction). Also note that the poster does not have any writing on it (other than on the names of the rides). It seems possible that there once was more to this poster that would have contained some written information (especially if it was intended to be displayed on a highway, as a way to attract people to the park), but it also seems very possible that this was the entire poster, for they certainly might not have felt it necessary to put up the name of the park if this poster was actually displayed within the park. If anyone knows more about this poster or this amusement park, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: F. Freeland Important Added Info: This billboard poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with billboards folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded billboards need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 16" x 38", so they cost more to send than regularly folded billboards, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. This billboard was printed in 16 sections. Condition: very good. There are tears and areas of paper loss in one vertical foldline of one piece. It is one of the vertical foldlines in the top left of the image. This was the foldline that was on the outside of the poster when it was fully folded. There are some minor tears, creases, and tiny areas of paper loss in some of the other foldlines, but other than the above defect, the poster is survived in pretty nice condition.
