Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Twelve O'Clock High, the classic 1950 Henry King World War II (WWII) military airplane aerial-combat pilot aviation thriller ("A story of twelve men - as their women never knew them - and of one man who stood forward alone!"; "The World Stands Still At... Twelve O'Clock High"; "Produced by Darryl F. Zanuck"; "Based on the Novel by Sy Barlett and Beirne Lay, Jr."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about American pilots in England in World War II, and how the strain of facing death every day causes them to become fearful and unbalanced, and about the no-nonsense general who tries to change things) starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as General Frank Savage), Hugh Marlowe, Gary Merrill, Millard Mitchell, Dean Jagger (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Robert Arthur, Paul Stewart, John Kellogg, Bob Patten, and Joyce Mackenzie. Note that this excellent movie inspired a very popular TV series as well! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: good to very good. This poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. It appears to have had the following defects: the poster had the usual three horizontal folds as well as two extra ones. There are also creases and smudges around the edges of the poster. There was a 7" semi-circular tear in the small credits area. The defects were mostly corrected during the linenbacking process, but you can still see evidence of the defects when you look close up. But from any distance away, the poster looks quite nice!
