An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Stanley and Livingstone, the 1939 Otto Brower & Henry King biographical African jungle safari adventure thriller ("As thrilling now on the screen as when it stirred the world with its daring"; "Historical research and story outline by Hal Long and Sam Hellman"; "The most heroic exploit the world has known!"; "Into the perilous wildness of unknown Africa... one white man ventured to seek another! Heat... fever... cannibals... jungle... nothing could stop him!"; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck; a highly fictionalized retelling of explorer Henry Stanley's search to find researcher David Livingstone in the heart of darkest Africa!) starring Spencer Tracy (in the title role as Henry M. Stanley), Nancy Kelly, Richard Greene, Walter Brennan, Charles Coburn, Sir Cedric Hardwicke (in the title role as Dr. David Livingstone), Henry Hull, and Henry Travers NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that any posters from this well remembered 1930s adventure biography are rarely seen at all, and I have never seen or heard of this style B one-sheet being offered before! Condition: good to very good. The poster had paper loss at each crossfold and many small tears in the vertical foldline between the top and middle crossfolds. There was separation and small areas of paper loss across the top horizontal fold and in the left half of the middle fold. There were many pinholes, tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. There were some tiny areas of paper loss in the "TAN" of "STANLEY". Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see some signs of restoration, even from a distance. But the restoration is not really distracting, and I would think most collectors could happily display this extremely rare poster on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
