Entertainment Delight of Delights!"; "Ray Bolger Bowls 'em Over in Where's Charley?"; in the title role as Charley Wykeham), Allyn Ann McLerie (billed as "Allyn McLerie"), Robert Shackleton, Horace Cooper, and Margaretta Scott. Note that the play "Charley's Aunt" was written in 1890, and was incredibly popular on stage for many years, and was adapted into many movie versions. This was a movie adaptation of the Broadway play, which was first produced in 1948 and ran for 792 performances, and when this movie version was made, Ray Bolger and the other top stars reprised their roles from the Broadway play.
