An Original 1922 Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Die Schuld Der Lavinia Morland (released in the U.S. in 1922 as "The Wife Trap"), the 1920 Joe May German silent romantic infidelity melodrama starring Mia May (in the title role as Lavinia Morland), Kitty Aschenbach, Paul Bildt, Alfred Gerasch, and Loni Nest. Note that star Mia May (formerly Hermine Pfleger) did not start acting until 1917, when she was 34, and she was married to German director Joe May (who directed this movie). Note that this was one of the German UFA movies that were released by Paramount after the giant studios made a business merger that connected the companies and allowed them to distribute each other's movies in their respective countries. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
