An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 9" x 12"; 16 pages) (Learn More) Two Lovers, the 1928 Fred Niblo 16th century Spain/Holland romantic historic masked hero action melodrama ("From the novel 'Leatherface' by Baroness Orczy"; about a beautiful noble Spanish girl who is forced by her uncle, the Duke, the marry a Dutchman, because the uncle wants her to spy on that country, but she comes to realize that the Dutchman's cause is just, and she helps the conspirators) starring Ronald Colman (as Mark Van Rycke and as the masked hero "Leatherface"), Vilma Banky, Noah Beery Sr., Nigel De Brulier, and Virginia Bradford. Note that the insert for this movie bills the source novel as being written by "Countess Orczy", but actually she was "Baroness", and that appears to only be incorrect on the insert! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the front and back covers are missing from this pressbook. However, the last page that is there shows the insert and the glass slides and the center page of the pressbook shows the entire set of eight lobby cards and the two half-sheets. But please do not bid on this pressbook unless you can accept that it is missing the front and back covers. Condition: good. This pressbook has either ads cut out or missing pages or both. Above we noted exactly how many cut ads or missing pages there are, whether or not they affect the poster page, and any other significant defects the pressbook has. It has also never been folded, which is also unusual, as almost all larger pressbooks were folded in half so that they could be more easily transported. Other than the above defects, the pressbook is in very good condition. But please do not bid on this pressbook unless you can accept that it has ad cuts or missing pages.
