An Original 1945 (from the first release of this movie in Australia) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 10" x 30" [25 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) And Now Tomorrow, the 1944 Irving Pichel romantic medical doctor hospital melodrama ("Screen Play by Frank Partos and Raymond Chandler"; about a wealthy woman who lost her hearing because of meningitis, and she meets a doctor who seemingly has a cure, plus romance ensues) starring Alan Ladd ("Ladd's Back! In a drama from the Best Seller by Rachel Field"; "Ladd's Back! In the sensational drama by the author of 'All This, and Heaven Too'"), Loretta Young, Susan Hayward, Barry Sullivan, Beulah Bondi, and Cecil Kellaway NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Richardson Studio Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Australian daybill, and that was 11 years ago! Note that this is one of an amazing collection of 62 linenbacked Australian daybills that all have great art from Richardson Studio (or John Richardson, before he became "Richardson Studio"!), which many collectors feel have the best art and design of any Australian daybills, and are highly sought after by collectors. These were accumulated by a very dedicated collector over many years, and they are now being all offered at once (in 62 separate auctions), so this is a wonderful opportunity to obtain one or many of these daybills, many of which rarely are offered for sale or at auction. Also note that for a brief time during World War II (WWII) Australia printed their daybills in a 10" x 30" format (no doubt to conserve on paper, because they had been printing daybills in a 15" x 40" size, and by going to 10" x 30", they were able to print four daybills with the same amount of paper they used to print two!). The poster is NOT trimmed! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
