Battle For the Planet of the Apes, the 1973 J. Lee Thompson science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy thriller sequel ("The Final Chapter in the incredible Apes saga. The most suspenseful showdown ever filmed as two civilizations battle for the right to inherit what's left of the earth!"; "Based upon characters created by Pierre Boulle"; the fifth installment in the series of "Planet of the Apes" movies) starring Roddy McDowall ("as Caesar, supreme ape leader."), Claude Akins ("as Aldo, rebellious gorilla general"), Natalie Trundy ("as Lisa, loving wife of Caesar."), Severn Darden ("as Kolp, radiation - crazed mutant leader."), Lew Ayres ("as Mandemus, the peacemaker."), Paul Williams ("as Virgil, orangutan War councilor."), and John Huston ("as the Lawgiver.")

Important Added Info: Note that at this time, it was common for studios to prepare 11x14 stills in two ways. One type of stills would have the copyright information and the title of the movie in the 3/4" across the bottom of each still. Some theaters prefer these, but others preferred to just have photographic images from the movie, so the studios would also print stills that measured 10 1/4" x 14", and only showed the image from the movie, and did not have that bottom 1/2" (called a "slug"). Some collectors prefer 11x14 stills with "slugs", and some do not care. Note that the set of stills offered here is unusual in that four of the stills do have the "slugs" and four of them do NOT have "slugs" (see our image for which are which).

Condition: very good. All of the stills are in pretty nice condition, EXCEPT for the one in the top right of our image, which was used to announce the winner of a contest and it has much black marker writing on the back, but it only bleeds through to the front in the bottom white area. Please note that four of these stills do not have bottom credits areas, but it is because they were made that way . Note that these stills have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind!
