An Original 1949 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Film Program (measures 8 1/4" x 11 3/4" [21 x 30 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Boom Town, the 1940 Jack Conway Texas oil drilling romantic love triangle adventure melodrama ("Devil-May-Care Men Fought For Girls And Gold"; "The big all-star dramatic sensation!"; "Based on the story by James Edward Grant") starring Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, Claudette Colbert, Hedy Lamarr, Frank Morgan, Lionel Atwill, Chill Wills, Minna Gombell, Marion Martin, and Carlotta Monti (who is in the film but not credited on IMDb). Note that in the very late 1930s and early 1940s, MGM had so many major stars under contract that they could put four of their biggest in a single movie, as they did with this great one! Important Added Info: Note that, immediately after World War II, the U.S. occupied Japan and part of Germany, and many American movies were shown in both countries between 1945 and the end of the occupation. Most of the Japanese posters we have seen from that period and many of the German posters and programs from the same period have a "Motion Picture Export Association" circular printed logo on the poster or program, and apparently this was a program run in conjunction with the U.S. government. Since there were many U.S. servicemen in Japan and Germany at this time, many of these posters and programs have the title written in both Japanese (or German) and in English, and they are from the first release of that movie in that country. Also note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended).
