An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Candidate, the 1972 Michael Ritchie political politics campaign election melodrama ("Bill McKay has a lot going for him... But nothing compared to what's coming."; "This advertisement has been paid for by Warner Bros. who would love The Candidate to be a winner."; "McKay the better way"; "Written by Jeremy Larner") starring Robert Redford (in the title role), Peter Boyle, Melvyn Douglas ("as John J. McKay"), Karen Carlson, and Morgan Upton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Also note that the regular one-sheet for this movie (and just about every other poster from the first release) shows an image of Robert Redford blowing a large chewing gum bubble that obscures his face. The poster here is the very rare international one-sheet which features Redford extending his hand for a handshake, and which does not obscure his face! Condition: poor. There is discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture. There is a series of small holes in the title area at bottom center that form censor stamps. Learn More about condition grades
