An Original Vintage Promotional Brochure (measures 18" x 22" [46 x 56 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) King Bros. and Cristiani Combined Circus was a circus from 1950 to 1953, traveling in the United States and Canada. A knowledgeable collector tells us that in 1945, Floyd King bought the Bud Anderson Circus and much of Clyde Beatty's truck show, and in 1946, he took the circus out as the King Bros. Circus. Floyd later partnered with Lucio Cristiani and the King/Cristiani title was born. The partnership lasted until 1953 when they reverted to individual shows. In 1955, King Bros enlarged the show to a 70 truck circus but this proved too much to handle. In 1956, they divided the show into two smaller shows but both closed early. The title King Bros was later sold to ACME Circus Operating Corporation. Floyd King died August 24, 1976 at Macon, Georgia at the age of 88. He was inducted into the Circus Hall of Fame in 1998.
