A 1937 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Doctor Bull, the 1933 John Ford country doctor medical hospital comedy ("Based on 'The Last Adam' by James Gould Cozzens"; "As Great - As Human - As 'State Fair'"; about an old country doctor in a small town, and how the local citizens look to replace him with a younger, more up to date doctor, and he must win back their confidence) starring Will Rogers (in the title role as Dr. George 'Doc' Bull), Ralph Morgan, Marian Nixon, Andy Devine, Vera Allen, Rochelle Hudson, and Berton Churchill NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that Will Rogers was the foremost movie star for Fox Pictures in the early 1930s, and was at the height of his career when he was killed in a plane crash in 1935. Fox had just merged with Twentieth Century Pictures to form 20th Century Fox (Rogers had made one movie for the combined company), and immediately after his death, and for the year after, 20th Century Fox re-issued all of his sound movies. This poster is from the 1937 re-release of Rogers' 1933 "Doctor Bull". Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
