A 1934 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Shadow Ranch, the 1930 Louis King cowboy western ("All-talking whirlwind western!") starring Buck Jones, Marguerite De La Motte, Kate Price, Albert J. Smith, Robert McKenzie, and Frank Rice. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocaonut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had creases, scuffs, and some fine surface paper loss on parts of the foldlines and some pinholes and tears around the edges. There were scuffs scattered throughout the poster, mostly in some of the solid colored areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
