An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked British Quad Movie Poster (measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More) Return of the Jedi (now known as "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"), the classic 1983 Richard Marquand outer space science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure epic sequel ("Return to a galaxy far, far away!"; "The Saga Continues"; "The movie everyone's been waiting for!"; written and produced by George Lucas) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Billy Dee Williams (as Lando Calrissian), Anthony Daniels ("as C-3PO"), David Prowse (as the man in the Darth Vader suit), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Frank Oz (as the voice of Yoda), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), and Alec Guinness (as Obi-Wan Kenobi) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Josh Kirby Important Added Info: Note that there are two versions of the original theatrical British Quad which feature art by Josh Kirby, and contain the same main elements (Han, Luke, Leia, Vader, etc). The more common version also features an exploding sandskiff, Boba Fett firing his weapon, Imperial Guards, and more. The less common version is missing those elements but features an ewok below Han Solo. We have heard that the version with the ewok was not considered "exciting" enough, and Kirby added the other elements at the request of the studio. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had tiny creases down the left and right vertical foldlines and very minor wear on the other folds. There were pinholes in the corners.
